GROWING

“For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
2 Peter 1:5-8

These ministries are characterized by study of the Word,

Children’s Education
Coordinators: Lisa Mason and Scott Burton

The Children’s Education program provides Bible-based curriculum to children ages 2 to 6th grade. Through Godly teachers, children receive Biblical principles and instruction to further their knowledge and growth in the Word. Through this Bible class program our children will grow and mature into future church members and leaders. You can be involved by volunteering to teach a Bible class. There is also always a need for substitute teachers.

Nursery
Coordinator: Terri Cleaver

The purpose of the nursery ministry is to provide a safe, nurturing and Christ-centered environment for babies and toddlers ages 0-36 months. We provide attended nurseries, an unattended quiet room and a nursing mothers’ room. This ministry is also responsible for a Cradle Roll class on Sundays and Wednesdays. You can be involved in this ministry by volunteering to teach Cradle Roll, keep children in the nursery, or even serve as supervisor for a month. The nursery also depends on you to provide the “Item of the Month” listed in the church calendar and any toys that are in good condition.

Ladies’ Bible Class

This class is also responsible for an annual “Ladies’ Day” for inspiration and fellowship. You can be involved by attending the Ladies’ Bible Class on Tuesday mornings at 10:00.

Vacation Bible School

Summer Camp
Coordinator: Wes Claiborne and Kerry Young

The purpose of our summer camp is to provide an opportunity for young people who have completed 4th - 12th grades and the adult volunteers to escape the pressures and schedules of their daily life and focus for a week on spiritual growth. Children participate in daily Bible classes, team sports and Bible Family Feud, and each night concludes with a time of singing and a devotional. You can be involved in Camp by planning to attend in one of several roles (counselor, crafts, kitchen, etc.), planning to send your child to camp, or contributing money to the Eddie Stinson Scholarship Fund that allows all children to attend regardless of their financial situation. You also can participate in camp work days, attend camp fundraisers or donate money or building supplies. You can talk to Steve McClellan for more information about this aspect of camp.

You can become involved by attending one of several mission trips (medical, construction, HFC or youth), assisting with fundraising and supporting missionaries in the field, or by donating items needed to take on our mission trips. hese ministries are characterized by study of the Word, spiritual growth and leadership development.
